Just started the Galloway 1/2 Marathon training program for a Fall 1/2 Marathon and this is my first long run. I calculated my training pace using Jeff Galloway's formula by taking my Magic mile time, multiplying it times 1.3 and adding 2 minutes. This gave me a really slow 15:30 goal pace for my long runs.
Today I ran out of my neighborhood to Lilburn Park and back and was able to slow to a 14:13 average pace. I felt good there so that is where I stayed.
During the run I rambled on about Peachtree and my lack of training this year. Things are getting better and with a 1/2 marathon to shoot for this Fall my mileage should improve.
